I was concerned that I might loose pulses if I had coded it. The encoders in our system are sometimes upto 2500 pulses per rev running at upto 3000 rpm. I also have to do some other things with the same PIC so I didn't think the PIC would keep up. There is info on the HP web site on the HCTL2016. Regards, Mike Watson
