I still use PROTEL Schematic for DOS - real easy to use and very fast but,
has a few limitations when interfacing with windows - ie cut and paste.

I'm sure there must be lots of shareware CAD packages - why not do a search
via altavista - I did this some 4 months ago and got lots of products
mostly written around 1995.
