I buy PICs exclusively thru Digi-Key (who now handles orders in Canadian
Funds :) but change GST :( and only charge $8.00 (Can) for next day orders
:) ).  You will get your orders in one day and they're very flexible in
quantity.

Future/Active also sells them through their retail stores and through their
distributor network, but unless you're willing to buy in quantity (100+),
you can only get some models (ie the ones they think are popular - basically
16C54JW, 16C71JW, 16C71P, and 16C84P-04) which are bagged as ones and
they're 3x more expensive than Digi-Key.

Go with Digi-Key - 1(800)Digi-Key.
