If you want a reference, get the Standard - ("The Annotated ANSI C Standard", by Schildt, Osborne McGraw-Hill, 1990, ISBN 0-07-881952-0) - if you want a tutorial, I recommend "Programming in ANSI C", by Stephen Kochan, SAMS 1994, ISBN 0672303396.
