Here is a pointer to a freeware implementation of Forth to
run on a C84:

It is a small implementation, unusually byte rather than word
based, but does have some rs232 support and words to write
to and read from internal eeprom.

( I have nothing to do with the compiler, just thought one or
two of you might be interested. )
