>I am searching for automotive speed transducer. ANy pointers All new cars have them. Mine malfunctioned on my Dodge Caravan. Dodge called it a "distance sensor" and it plugs into the transmission where the speedometer cable would have gone on earlier years, and it has a gear on it and a 2-pin connector. It has a place to attach a speedometer cable, for compatibility for transitional models. Perhaps the car you want to attach a speed sensor to can have its speedometer gear replaced with a later version, like mine? You wouldn't need to build anything. By the way, the retail price for my sensor was US$ 35. It has 7 or 8 poles per revolution. I do not know how that relates to tire rotation. -Bob
