Good point about the dc-dc converter that is "not" ... The other error
commonly made is in mistaking the real time clock module on some older
mainboards for a converter.

(Come to think more about it, since most PC's have healthy power supplies
producing +/- 5, and +/- 12 Vdc, it's very unlikely you'd find a dc-dc
converter on a mainboard.
