The solution is to approach microchip directly and put your case for free replacement 14000 parts and not be wasting you valuable time trying to salvage your old parts. After all, Kim Cooper has already admitted that a bug in the PICSTART PLUS destroyed your 14000 JW parts. That's a pretty strong case to me. I had no trouble getting free 14000 JW samples and I would suggest you should have even less trouble getting replacements. Jim
