The 214 number is old.  Parts of Dallas Texas have a new area code, 972.  Likewise, when the area code changed, Dallas Semiconductor changed the 450 to 371.  So to make a long story short, you can try calling Dallas Semiconductors' sales department at 972-371-6264.  They should be able to lead you in the right direction.  Another possibility is the customer service department, 972-371-4470.  

As for the DS1820 part, I bought some a year or two ago while I was still in college.  I paid somewhere between $5 or $6.  I also paid about the same for a similar part, the DS1620.  I found both parts easy to use, and at the time interfaced them to my PC's parallel port.  And for those who are interested, I believe that DS also has a starter kit for one of theses parts.
