If the voltage drop over my meter is anywhere near the order
of 5V, I will surely return it to factory for service :-). The
internal resistance for my DMM in the 20mA range is 10 Ohm => about 1%
voltage drop => not service time yet...

By the way, I measured the second parallel port on my desktop
(27a). This port sits on a cheap I/O card of recent date. Result: 2.2mA. X-@
