Their price on the DS1820 is sky high. 1-9 pieces $19.00 each, 10-49 pieces $10.86 each. I am using a similar Dallas Temp chip in an upcoming design. It is actually a digital thermometer and I2C ROM in one package. I was quoted a volume price of $5 a chip. In quantity that is a good ball-park figure for all of the Dallas Temp chips. Given the prices in the "Future Active" catalog, I think I can do much better dealing directly with my local Future rep. If someone knows of cheaper sourcing please post it. Thanks. --- Steve
