the numbers indicate the two endpoints of each wire in the cable. When
the receiver is unconnected, you should usually see all wires as
stuck high.  Special states are

        _       stuck low
        ^       stuck high
        -       something wrong

I have (obviously) and it does work, I have already found several
faulty cables with it. I admit that the documentation is inexistant.
But that's the difference between a hacker's thing and a professional
project as someone pointed out...
