Hi, I recently came across an advertisment for radio transmitters & receivers which might interest some users. A company called Radio-tech in the UK is offering modules from 0.25mW to 10mW designed for data transmission. I haven't tried them myself, perhaps someone on the list can comment on their usefulness. The address is: Radio-tech limited, Overbridge House, Weald Hall Lane, Epping, Essex. Phone: UK sales 0181-368 8277 International sales +44 1992 57 6107 Web: http://www.radio-tech.co.uk/ As usual - I have no connection with the company. Keith. ========================================================== Keith Dowsett "Variables won't; constants aren't." E-mail: kdowsett@rpms.ac.uk WWW: http://kd.rpms.ac.uk/index.html I've used those modules (0,25mW, 433MHz), with limited success... They're supposed to make a link at up to 200m, but I only got about 25m, when using a helical-antenna. When swithing to a whip-antenna (both home made) I got about 50m though (outside). I had a problem with the modules, as their BW was about 10KHz, and I was using a digital encoder/decoder running at about 5KHz. I never made it working, but used a DTMF-encoder/decoder instead, which worked great. Radio-tech offers a broad range of modules (418, 433, 170MHz - 10KHz-20KHz BW - different power-radiation). -Jacob Blichfeldt Attachment converted: wonderlandfive:WINMAIL.DAT (????/----) (000079A6)
