Hmm... my current problem/oddity is a chip (16C622/JW) which gobs down about 2mA on /MClr when running [I have to pull it pretty hard to +5] and about 200mA to even stay in programming mode. Other than that, though, if I keep the /MClr pulled high the chip seems to work. Any idea what might be wrong with the chip, and whether I should just keep using it as long as I can?
