PDF works great for me, and might be able to be used by everyone, if it
is true that you can use ghostview/ghostscript to read it, since source
for that is freely available.  According to what I've read, you can add
decryption to GhostScript:

I remember reading somewhere else that these patches only work if you
know the password, but that it was "easy" to change them to figure out
the password.  (It would seem that it would have to be, since AcroRead
does it).  Alternatively, folks with PDF docs could post the password
along with the PDF file?
