--- I don't know if this one wound up lost with the PIC mail list problems. I never saw it come back, so am sending it again. - Mark ______________________________________________ In , on 11/16/96 at 12:22 PM, Lauw Lim Un Tung said: >I have the same problem too, couldn't find some components at >local electronic parts shop. I faxed an order to JDR on a Tuesday and the order arrived here Saturday. Even with about 60 line items, there were no mistakes and no back orders. JDR's component catalog is not the same size as, say, Digi-Key, but they are well stocked on the items needed for a prototype PIC project. This year's catalog also includes the EPIC PIC programmer, prototype boards, the MEL PBASIC compiler, and a few PIC and BASIC Stamp items from Parallax. You can find them on the web at; http://www.jdr.com I managed to get all the parts in need to finish the DonTronics PIC programmer in one order instead of spending days in the maze at Harco in Glodok. (Don McKenzie is another good PIC resource, but everyone on this list knows about him already.) I should probably add the standard disclaimer that my only relationship with JDR is as an occasional customer. I'd like to hear about any other such component sources available to those of us in the "industrializing countries." - - - The Motorola MC145447 is on page 9 of the JDR catalog #56. $4.39 in single quantities, $3.49 for a tube of 25.
