I am a new to PIC microcontroller.

I am interested in the Caller-ID system.

Has anyone designed the Software modem for Bell202/V.23
Caller-ID system? What is the suggested minimum hardware to
demodulate the FSK signals before passing it to the controller
to process? Which PIC controller module/family should I use?
Interrupt & timer? How many pins is required? As for the
Hardware modem using Mot MC145447, an interrupt for
Ring_Detect and a normal sampling method for DOC/ROC is
enough.

Does anyone know where can I get the electrical characteric of
the Bell202 specifications informations like: Signal
level(dbm)? I have the protocol for Caller-ID (SDMF & MDMF)
but not the signal level and signal phase informations.
