The spec is available directly from Sony parts ordering service. I don't
have the 800 number handy, but any dealer can give it to you. If nobody
else comes up the number, email me and when I get home I'll look it up.
With  S&H the document costs around US$20.

The recent thread about working with IR remotes referenced a site with
comprehensive interfacing info.
