Tony: It's already been suggested that we could put the list archives on CD-ROM and sell them at some reasonable price. For a number of reasons, I'm not so sure that this is a good idea, but it's certainly something that could be voted on by the list-members. As you know, I personally feel that the best way to bore and frustrate the members of a mailing list is to fill the list with discussions ABOUT the list. Rather than opening up the PICLIST to discussions about the pros and cons of any revenue-producing idea, therefore, I humbly suggest that someone with good web-forms processing software might set up a web-based survey form. I guess we'd just have to trust each other not to "stuff the ballot box", but it would at least be a start. I suppose we should wait a little while for other ideas to be suggested, then put all the ideas on the survey form and tell the list-members where to find it. So... Who wants to volunteer to set up this survey? -Andy Andrew Warren - fastfwd@ix.netcom.com Fast Forward Engineering, Vista, California http://www.geocities.com/SiliconValley/2499
