You can have a look at a demo I did a few years ago (when PICs were on the up and up) to test the life of batteries. This used a 16C54(JW) at 3 volts with a 4MHz resonator if I recall and would send out data continuously for about 3 days from a pair of N type batteries (Half AAA) with an incrementing counter. The code was raw ASYNC data that I would feed into a PC with a SHARP integrated receiver and a OPamp inverter and I could then see what was the last sequence number. You can have a look at the code made to assemble with the early PICALC but should be adjustable :-) http://www.ip.co.za/people/kalle/pic/irkey.asm Cheers -- Kalle Pihlajasaari kalle@data.co.za Interface Products Box 15775, Doornfontein, 2028, South Africa +27 (11) 402-7750 Fax: +27 (11) 402-7751
