Jeff, How long have you been around here? You've missed the point... > > But more seriously, why not take the useless martian mathematical > discussions elsewhere. If you don't know how to use a LM723, then get the > )*&&(%^ databook. If you need a recipe for blackened catfish, DON'T ask in > the piclist. The martian math is extremely relavent. See PIC's don't have any built in math functions. So this discussion maps up well with stuff like binary to BCD/ASCII conversion, fixed point math, trig functions, and whatnot. > > Maybe Metcalfe is right when he says that the Internet will die this year. > It will die of hardening of the arteries related to all the cholesterol > soaked SPAM. You sir haven't seen the SPAM the list really has had. SPAM like the knucklehead that kept sending the magazine subscription service every other week. See if this discussion were really spam, then folks like Andrew (who is one of the MAJOR MAJOR contributors to this list) would be participating. > > Folks, please, this list is the "PIC microcontroller discussion list." > Let's keep it that way. You'll see. You'll need a PIC to convert trinary values into a BCD number. Then you'll be wondering where the hell that Martian Math thread, which is precisely what you need, went.... BAJ > > (exasperated) You picked the wrong thread to start a SPAM discussion on. Wait for a real one, then go after them... BAJ
