Programming the 12C50x devices is only a little different to programming
the 16Cxx devices. Any ISP programmer supporting the 16Cxx devices can
easily be updated to support the 12C50x. The circuit is the same except
for the different pinouts of course.

I would expect that the likes of David Tait and the other "big boys" of
the programmer world will be along anytime now with their 12C50x offerings.

I have my PICSTART 16B programming the little suckers now. Well, I mean
I have it doing simulated programming on a 16Cxx as I don't have any 12C50x
parts to test with. One of the unfortunate "side effects" of living in
Australia. :-(
