I've been using the demo version of PADS. It can be found in many places on the Internet ... usually referred to as PADS-PCB, although the module you want is the LOGICS module (it's part of the package). It does a great job of schematics, and also PC Board layout, although I've not yet made any PC boards. It is limited to about 30 components, but that isn't a problem for most hobby stuff.
