I too have heard that this works. It was a long
time ago and I don't know if it is true. Maybe I
could hold some in my teeth next time I go to the
dentist.

Talk of sunlamp erasers reminds me of once being
told that OTP devices
(without windows !) could be erased using the
magic of 'X rays'.

Was my source horribly misinformed ? Did he dream
it ? Was he making it up to
test me ? Is the mere idea scoffable or is there
possibly any truth in this
legend.....

I would be intrigued to know if anybody has heard
of this or has evidence to
prove or disprove it.

My curiosity is heightened especially after
recently returning from holiday
to find the cruelly twisted remains of some 20
PIC'54s festering in my waste
bin after my colleague's non too successful
attempts to program the right hex
file in them.
