Janusz,

Yes you are right, the "CORE" algorithm is identical for the
16C6x/7x/62x/55x/PIC14000 and likely to be the same for the
PIC12000 despite this having a 5x core. (Note the 16C55x have
a 16Cxx core and are actually the same as the 16C62x devices
with the comparators and brownout removed.)

There are, however, several differences in the configuration
word programming so research this well.

The 16C5x/16C8x and 17C4x all have major differences but you
knew this of course!
