I personally don't think much of code hopping
I'm learning in-line skating now so hopping is getting familiar
but to get serious
I use IRda chip (disgustingly simple)
for two-way communications
it goes like this
1. key says :"hello"
2. vehicle answers :"mother in law"
3. some char changing
4. rem cesar coding  ;remmed for simple explanation
5. key answers :" woman hitler"
6. alarm sys disarms

smart and pretty tuff to decode
the hoppe of repeating codes are 1:2^48 in my app
