Hello Pic Lovers! I am not an old friend of the PIC. I have just started to work with PICs 3-4 monts ago. And recently I bought a 16C84 and a programmer for it(classica PIcstart16b). I tried to write a simple programme for scanning 4 x 3 keypad and to display it in binary format. But i couldn't succeed in doing it. Mine main aim is to scan a 4 x 3 or 4 x 4 keypad and to drive 8 Leds through the same port(Port_B) so as to use the Port_A for serial communication and to control a relay. -> Now can you give me some ideas or source code for scanning the keypad and driving the leds through the same port(PORT_B) or drive them from port_A for the PIC16C84. I also tried to run the applications of the EMbedded Control Handbook of the Microchip but although i made some modifications for running it on the PIC16c84 i couln't be successful to run the programmes. (APNOTE 529; Appendix A (Multiplexing 7 SEgment decoder part); Appendix B:(multiplexing the keypad and the 7-segment part of the 4 channel voltmeter application note.) - Is there anyone who had run it on the PIC16C84 before or can give me some ideas ? Thanks for advance... See you Pic lovers! REGARDS Tarkan Dogu Email: dogu@boun.edu.tr
