Hello

As a new comer to pic I am looking for information on what software
is used to run pic. I'm told that one would use c, compile it and then
use a pic programmer to down load into the pic's.

Any useful info on the start to finish of pic code would be appreciated,
and any uncompiled sofware to look at would also be useful.
