Hi Marcel,

I don't think you will gain much speed by replacing the floppy
disk drive with a RAM-drive without changing the firmware. Most
parameters, such as data transfer rate, motor startup time, step
rate for finding a track, head setting time and other are fixed in the
floppy controller or program. There will be hovewer no delays for
finding a sector on the track, so some shorter loading time can be
expected.
