The ATM-Trolley problem happened in Europe on the very first ATM's. It was aired on a Discovery Channel program, can't recall its name. VHF / UHF radios with 5 watt + power almost invariably find something to screw up, like a stop light in Laredo Texas. If you pressed the mic button the lights would go off and on again but remained sinchronized, they did not change to another color. Dangerous situation anyway, it was corrected and I have not seen it happen at any other place.
