Yeah, slow and fast neutrons play hell with semiconductors. We have exposed
a ccd camera to neutron flux then had to rebuild it (replacing lots of
semiconductors). Even conventional transistors suffer if the dose is high
enough, let alone the tiny ones in microcontrollers.
