Just got my pile of Dallas data books yesterday so cannot help you
with code samples.  There is no technical reason why you can't
do it with one interface bin and a resistor.  You will have to go this
route if you need multiple sensors on you single pin.

What other reasons?  There is a simple to use 1 pin device the TMP03 and TMP04
from Analog devices that will be much easier to write code for.  I have
interfaced it to a Parallax stamp II and the Assembler code will not be that
much harder, granted you need to do a 24 bit divide to get full resolution.
