> I looked in my Digi-Key catalog and they don't > have anything called a parallel crystal. Can you assume that if the > load capacitance is given, that it is parallel? ECS inc. Has the following text printed on my copy of the March-April Digi-Key p. 173: ".. Unless load capacitance is specified, all crystals are manufactured at series resonance. .. " The table following this information under the field "Max Series Load Cap" indicates the parallel resonant crystals with a loading cap. It indicates series resonant capacitors with the word "Series". > I can get a TTL clock oscillator. If the precision and stability of the frequency is really that important to you, you might consider using one of these instead. Just connect the output of the oscillator to OSC1 and leave OSC2 open.
