ECS inc. Has the following text printed on my copy of the March-April
Digi-Key p. 173:

".. Unless load capacitance is specified, all crystals are
          manufactured at series resonance. .. "

The table following this information under the field "Max Series Load
Cap" indicates the parallel resonant crystals with a loading cap. It
indicates series resonant capacitors with the word "Series".

If the precision and stability of the frequency is really that
important to you, you might consider using one of these
instead. Just connect the output of the oscillator to OSC1 and
leave OSC2 open.
