Oh, by the way, I noticed there was a note about shift registers in the data
book 95/96 on page 3-52. (appendix C, SQTP for PIC16C5X/5XA)

Microchip states that they generate *truly* random numbers for serial
numbers in their SQTP prog.spec. How?
