No PIC content.... Thanks everyone who responded on my request for information on low cost Real Time Clocks - since several people asked, here is a quick summary of what was said. Dallas DS1202 $2.40@100pc w/static RAM, micropower JRC NJU6355 $1.00@100pc, micropower Phillips I2C PCF8583 w/ static RAM <$5 - haven't checked this one out yet Motorola/Hitachi 146818 - around $4, high current draw Microchip AN615 describes implementing the RTC on a '54 (app note not available on-line yet) The JRC part is a real bargain-if a broken English data sheet doesn't bother you, but it turns out that I will need some static RAM, so will be going with the Dallas part. Thanks everyone for the input. -mike -=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=- Mike Fahrion mfahrion@bb-elec.com http://www.bb-elec.com/ B&B Electronics Mfg Co ph.(815) 433-5100 ext.215 fax (815) 434-7094 707 Dayton Road PO Box 1040 Ottawa IL 61350 -=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-
