I think the Microchip Microcontroller Databook (rel. 95/96) and
the Embedded Control Handbook are still the best and most
comprehensive reference you can get.
You can either ask any local distributor or get them electronically
from microchip's bbs or now from their ftp-server in pdf-format
or have a look at the www-site for an index of available documents:
