Help!?! I finished building the "PicBlaster" (ultra-cheap PIC16C84 RS232-powered programmer) but... I used a bigger capacitor on the 5-Volt side (470uF instead of 100uF). I'm running a Pentium at 75 MHz, Windows95. Using PIP-02 and COM84, it seemed to be able to program the first few dozen bytes into the PIC... but that's it. I tried adding a 22pF cap across GND and TXD, but it only made things *worse*. Then I tried replacing the 470uF cap with the (specified) 100uF cap, and now it doesn't seem to work at all. The PIC reads "blank" every time. Can someone give me a clue how to get this thing to work? Is my PC running too fast for PIP-02? I have a slower PC at home...
