(I have told you all before but I think it's a rather extreme situation so I'll tell you again) I put an '84 in reverse just like Andy did and connected a NICAD-pack without current limitation (I'm selfconfident). After a few seconds I noticed some smoke appearing from somewhere ... and it wasn't the solder iron ... the '84 was actually on fire (but I couldn't see it through the plastic). After cooling the '84 I tried it again and it worked ... I guess I was lucky, but you never know ... ;-) -- Conny
