If the following question is answered in a F.A.Q. somewhere, please let me know. I am looking for easy to use pic programmer thats meets most of my needs: 1) Must be affordable for a college student (aprox. $100 or less) 2) Most importantly it must be able to program the 16CXX family. The 16C5X and 17CXX families would be nice, but not essential. 3) Speed is not a factor, I am willing to wait if it saves money. 4) A variety of socket types including a 44 pin PLCC would be nice. 5) A easy to use assembler with mouse cut and paste would also be a plus. 6) I don't mind building a kit or from plans if it saves money. If I am missing any other featue I should look for, please notify me. I would appreciate very much hearing from anyone who has had a bad or good experience with a programer that fits these despriptions. I am also in the market for a C complier that is reasonably priced (Shareware or Free would be great!) Thanks, Ben blw2@cec.wustl.edu
