---------- >Has anybody heard of, or experienced PIC16C74's not meeting temperature >specs? I have a couple of em' that seem to get lost at around 10 C. These are >not industrial parts, but should get down to at least 0 C. > >Rodger Mayeda >Pacific Gas and Electric Co. R&D > The book does hint that the WDT slows down as temp increases. Therefore the WDT may speed up as temp decreases. So as someone else said, "the watch dog may be timming out". I had a problem with a PIC16C74 going out to lunch. I read the book at 4.3.2 "WDT programming considerations". It sugesses that the OPTION register be updated at regular intervals. I added the OPTION register update and the problem went away. Another small mention in the book that may have a large effect, is adding componets for a power up circuit to (not)MCLR.
