For those people who weren't there, here's a quick overview of MPLAB: It combines an integrated editor (based on PFE) with an enhanced PIC-Master interface. Source-code level debugging is MUCH better than PICMASTR's, and the simulator is integrated, too (well... it will be soon; my pre-release copy doesn't include it). It handles C source-code as easily as Assembly, AND... (drumroll, please...) IT REMEMBERS THE CLOCK SPEED! MPSIM has always been the most accurate, complete, and up-to-date PIC simula tor available, but it was hampered by an unbelievably bad user interface. Now t hat it has the same interface as PIC-Master, it blows all the third-party simula tors away.
