    Glad you like it... The routine in the Embedded Control Handbook uses the
    same algorithm; it also appears in an old General Instruments appnote for
    the original NMOS PIC, circa 1980.  In both appnotes, though, the
    algorithm's coded significantly less-optimally.

    The Embedded Systems Conference is an annual affair put on by Embedded
    Systems Programming magazine.  It runs from September 12th through the 14th
    at the San Jose Convention Center (in the heart of Silicon Valley, near San
    Francisco).  The exhibits-only fee is $25; if you have $600 or so, you can
    attend three days' worth of classes, seminars, workshops, etc.
