At Oklahoma State University, all of the mailing lists that are
operated by our Center for Computing and Information Services are set to
bounce all postings from people who are not members of the list.  There is
usually no problem in getting on a public list, but this measure is designed
to put the breaks on this kind of nonsense.

        I am not an Email expert nor do I play one on T.V, so there may be
a very good reason not to set this listserv to behave that way, but it seems
like it might cut down on some of the mail bombing.
