I have got mostly negative reactions to the newsgroup idea, in the
sense that about 4-5 people wrote saying that they don't want change,
and 2 people wrote that they aren't enthusiastic but wouldn't mind. No
definite positives; the people have spoken and the change seems to be
an idea whose time is not here (yet?).

BTW, there is already some PIC traffic on comp.arch.embedded, a
newsgroup dealing with embedded micros (mostly 8051 and 6811).
