If not, let me know.) NOTE: This PIC programmer article comes in two parts: ==== ETI JUNE '95 : PIC Programmer Hardware. ETI JULY '95 : PIC Programmer Software. (I haven't seen the Software article yet, but the hardware looks good: flexible, universal & upgradeable.) ASIDE: I have no involvement with ETI magazine, except that I've read ===== and enjoyed many of their articles. Also, I haven't tried Davit Tait's PIC 84 programmmer but I'll wait until I've read the second part of the ETI programmer article. Then on comparison I'll decide which one to build. ******************************************************************************** *** PART 2 ******* ******* Publisher / Overseas / Back Issue Address: ========================================== ========================================== The following info is taken from ETI magazine and should enable those in the US to obtain both issues (JUNE & JULY 1995) of ETI, detailing the design/construcion of both H/W & S/W for a universal PIC Programmer. (If you (can) order the article alone (not the entire magazine) bear ) ( in mind that the PCB foils are usually at the back of the magazine,) ( and not in the article itself. ) ETI (Electronics Today International) ===================================== ===================================== << Don't know if this is relevant but I'll include it anyway: >> ABC (Audit Bureau of Circulations) ISSN 0142-7229 Consumer Press Publisher / Overseas / Back Issue Address: ========================================== * 1. However, there is a hex dump of the PIC code in the article but there is no seperate cost given for the host software alone. As far as I am aware, the PCB is not available through the magazine, but there is a good quality copy of the artwork. ******************************************************************************** **** The magazine doesn't give an email/www/ftp... address. Chris Madden maddenc@itd1.ul.ie I thought I'd post this info now (not having built / tested the above programmer) to catch those who were considering / in the early stages of, building a PIC programmer. It could save a lot of hassle! I'll let you know how I get on when I do build it. Chris Madden maddenc@itd1.ul.ie
