Steve:

Your best bet is NOT Digi-Key.  Call Roy Sasaki at Microchip's Irvine
office (714 263-1888) or John Andrews at the San Jose office (408
436-7950), explain your situation, and ask for copies of the Microchip
Data Book and Embedded Control Handbook.  I'm sure that both of them
will be more than happy to send the books to you.
