The Microchip Bulletin Board has a copy of all the application notes. To
access it you have to connect to a Compuserve node near you. Set your modem
to 8N1. When the connection is made press <enter>. As the settings are not
correct for Compuserve, you will get a few lines of garbage, press <+ enter>
and you should get to the Host Name prompt. Type "MCHIPBBS", and you should
then be in ! ( I had to try several times, so perseverence pays). The file
you want is AN589.Zip.
The bad news is that the file only contains the Serial Programming Routines
source code, so you will have to get a copy of the article text itself from
the latest Embedded Controller Handbook.
