It is a 16C71 w/o the A/D. I got both a datasheet and chips from
Microchip. There are LC-versions (I have this one), but it is not
clear if they can operate down to 2.5V or need 3V (like the LC71).
The datasheet says 3V, the announcement 2.5V.
They are quite cheap. I got 1000 for about $4.3 each here in Germany.
