I'am Ian Munro. I work in the dept of Electronic Engineering at the University of Hertfordshire. I'am interested in PICs because they are so simple to use compared to many other micro-controllers. Currently I'am using them in a simple network to provide time-indicators to speakers at conferences. I'am also halfway through writing a Windows based Pascal compiler for the PIC16C84. The compiler currently works fine, produces hex files etc that actually work on the PIC, and looks identical to the Borland Pascal IDE. The only problem at the moment is that it doesn't do that much. Still if anyone is interested I'am quite happy to show what I've done. I also have a 'pet' project to try and design a robot fish using 1 or 2 PICs and mondotronics 'Muscle Wires' (but this is still in very early stages!).
