I hope that no one is confusing the statement "Fully static design" on the PIC data sheets, to mean anything to do with static electricity. It means that all elements of the micro are implemented with static storage elements, rather than dynamic storage elements. If you look at data sheets for many competing micros, you will see a minimum clock speed far above the DC of the PIC. Some are even in the 1 - 2 MHz range. Thats because they have some storage elements that are dynamic, (saves lots of transistors on the chip) so the must be refreshed just like dynamic memory. Later All, Brian
